Job summary

Sovah Health - Danville seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for Medical/Surgical at night. You will cover 3 x 12-hour shifts from 7P to 7A, delivering high-quality nursing care, medication administration, and patient education.

Active Virginia RN license is required or a compact license, with Associate degree in nursing. BSN preferred; BLS certification is expected. Join a diverse unit with strong team support and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active Virginia RN license (single-state) or compact license.
• Associate degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Documents patient care and monitors patient condition, communicating with care team, physician, patient, and family.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
• Coordinates patient care across disciplines, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and support needs.
• Provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, and circumstances.
