Job summary

The Medical University of South Carolina is seeking a Registered Nurse II to provide individualized, goal-directed patient care in the Emergency Department. Under general supervision, you will use the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, and you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality care.

The role requires licensure as an RN in SC or a compact state, a BSN preferred, BLS certification, and at least one year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN licensure by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current BLS certification required.
• Minimum one year of RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Direct and lead other team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Deliver patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural needs.
• Maintain safe, therapeutic environment and adhere to standards of care and professional accountability.
