Job summary

Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a Registered Nurse II for the CHS - Emergency Department - Adult. The RN II delivers individualized, goal-directed care using the nursing process and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Preferred Bachelor of Nursing; SC or compact-state RN licensure, and BLS certification. Minimum one year RN experience required; BSN enrollment within two years and BSN completion within four years of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred
• RN licensed in SC or compact state; BSN enrollment within 2 years and BSN completion within 4 years
• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required
• Current American Heart Association BLS (Healthcare Providers) certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation)
• Direct and lead other team members; collaborate with multidisciplinary team
• Deliver patient/family centered care accounting for physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, and environmental needs
• Coordinate care, health teaching, promotion, and evaluation of goals and interventions in accordance with MUSC policies
