Job summary

Arizona Department of Veterans’ Services (AZDVS) is seeking a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night Shift at the Arizona State Veterans' Home in Flagstaff. The role offers 12-hour shifts (6:00 p.m.–6:30 a.m.) with every other weekend off and includes a $5,000 hiring incentive.

The position emphasizes direct veteran care, team collaboration, and AMS-driven improvements. Qualified candidates must hold an active Arizona RN license, be able to obtain fingerprint clearance, and have CPR

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Arizona.
• Experience in geriatric or long-term care preferred.
• CPR certification.
• Able to obtain fingerprint clearance.
• Willingness to work night shift.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Document care and progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team.
• Assess new residents and support care plans.
• Supervise and assist other staff as needed.
• Support ADLs and daily living activities.
• Participate in AMS quality improvement.
