Job summary

PIH Health Downey Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide direct patient care, including assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams, ensure patient flow, document accurately, and participate in night-shift coverage with a $7.00 shift differential. Current CA RN license and BLS are required; previous acute care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Current California RN license.
• Evidence of continuing education.
• Prior experience in an acute care facility or formal classroom education.
• Current Basic Life Support Card.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct nursing care including assessment, plan of care, education, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Coordinates the delivery of care provided by other care team members and disciplines.
• Maintains patient flow and facilitates care transitions.
• Documents accurately and communicates effectively with patients and families.
