Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant clinical practice.
• Strong critical thinking and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to collaborate with multiple disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients.
• Document care using hospital standards and nursing notes.
• Provide patient and family education based on learning needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary discharge planning.
• Ensure a safe patient environment and minimize care errors.
• Take charge assignments and oversee RNs, LPNs, LNAs, and unit secretaries.
• Assist in orientation of new staff on the Medical/Surgical Unit.
• Attend required hospital and unit competencies and staff meetings.
