Job summary

Iron Bridge Recovery Center in Chester, Virginia is seeking a Registered Nurse for a full-time night shift (7pm-7am). You will supervise care on the unit, coordinate treatment plans with LPNs and CNAs, and ensure safe medication administration.

On-site facility role with comprehensive benefits and education support. Qualifications include an RN license and preferred psychiatric nursing certification, with 1+ year of nursing experience, particularly in behavioral health settings.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience within clinical area of service preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards and practice within an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs, develops and implements nursing care plans, maintains medical records and educates clients and families.
• Assesses clients’ status on an ongoing basis and communicates findings to providers.
• Administers medications accurately and documents accordingly with multiple identifiers.
• Notifies providers of significant changes and documents clinical status changes promptly.
• Maintains accurate medication accountability and completes admission and discharge processes.
