CHRISTUS Health seeks a competent registered nurse for a night shift in Alexandria, LA. The nurse will practice independently, apply the nursing process to care for patients, and delegate tasks as appropriate to manage clinical situations.

The candidate should have a BSN preferred and at least 1 year of related nursing experience, with current BLS and ACLS certifications. All new RNs may participate in orientation and residency activities.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred.
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.
• Current ACLS certification required.
• BLS certification required.
• All newly hired experienced RNs must attend New Nurses Orientation within the first 30 days of hire.

Responsabilités

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families and caregivers.
