Job summary

Jackson Parish Hospital in Louisiana is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse to work nights in Acute Care. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients while following the nursing process to promote optimal health.

Requirements include graduation from an approved RN program, Louisiana RN license, and BLS; ACLS/PALS within 6 months. At least 2 years of related experience preferred; excellent communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Registered Nurse program is required.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess needs of patients and communicate changes to supervisor and physician.
• Plan care for patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
• Supervise LPN/LVN’s, CNA’s, Ward Clerks as needed.
• Administer intravenous medications, drips, pushes, and blood as per scope of practice.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Advocate for patients and ensure informed decisions where possible.
• Attend staff meetings and carry out duties as assigned by supervisor.
