Job summary

Sutter Health in Sacramento is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver and coordinate direct patient care in an acute setting, educate patients and families, and support transitions of care. The role emphasizes collaboration with physicians and the care team, adherence to policies and regulations, and a commitment to privacy and safety.

Nights, full-time schedule with 36 hours per week; pay ranges and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing prior to start date.
• RN-Registered Nurse for the state where care is provided prior to start date.
• BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
• NRP-Neonatal Resuscitation Provider: Family Birthing Center within 30 days, Labor & Delivery within 30 days, Neonatal ICU within 60 days, Nursery, Obstetrics, Postpartum, Women’s Health Center
• Demonstrated general knowledge and competence with nursing theories and medical terminology
• Ability to explain sensitive information clearly to diverse audiences
• Basic computer skills and EPIC experience
• Ability to work independently and in team, handle interruptions
• Maintain PHI privacy and collaborate with care teams
• Build collaborations with peers and healthcare providers

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment, coordination, delivery and evaluation of nursing care.
• Deliver direct patient care and patient/family education.
• Coordinate plan of care including psychosocial and lifestyle factors.
• Foster collaboration with patients, families, physicians and care teams.
• Ensure compliance with policies, standards and regulations.
