Job summary

Northside Hospital in Atlanta is seeking a Registered Professional Nurse who will independently plan and provide professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders, established guidelines, and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Responsibilities include applying critical thinking, performing thorough assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with the care team during a 7pm–7am shift on a rotating weekend basis.

Qualifications

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
• Must hold Certified in American Heart Association’s Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
• BSN degree
• Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
• Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
• Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Education

BSN degree

Two years RN experience

RN license in GA

BLS certification

ACLS/PALS/NRP or other certifications
