Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. is hiring a Residential Specialist I in Torrington, CT.

The role supports individuals in recovery under the Transitional/Respite program with on-site coverage Sunday through Thursday, 12:00 am to 8:00 am, coordinating services and documenting progress according to Individual Recovery Plans. The position requires a GED or high school diploma; experience in community mental health is preferred.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma required.
• Experience in community mental health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engage with persons in recovery to ensure participation in programs and activities.
• Document all activities, communications, and encounters with individuals in recovery according to service contract and MHC requirements.
• Orient individuals to the program available to them.
• Maintain specific activity and progress reports.
• Teach and assist Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Monitor the safety of individuals in recovery in their residences through supervision of the sites.
• Provide emergent program site coverage when necessary and stay on site beyond scheduled hours if required.

Education
