Qualifications

• 1+ years of related experience required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Experience with eating disorders is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages the daily milieu at Magnolia Creek Treatment Center, assisting with program activities, observations, charting progress/improvement/decline.
• Maintains privacy and confidentiality requirements and regulations.
• Becomes familiar with client histories and needs and identifies cues indicating status change.
• Under the direction of the Lead Recovery Care Specialist, provides emotional support to clients.
• Spends one-on-one time with clients during scheduled activities and leisure time.
• Communicates pertinent patient information to the Clinical Director and treatment team.
• Maintains proper and timely documentation regarding client progress; alerts management and Therapists of concerns.
• Day and evening shifts involve eating meals with clients to model healthy food and body image behaviors.
• Observes client behavior during and after meals.
• Assists in nutritional activities including meal prep, grocery shopping, meals out, and supervision of exercise.
• Demonstrates proper food safety and handling when preparing/serving meals.
• Assists with housekeeping duties and tours for clients, family members, students, visitors.
• Keeps job knowledge up to date by reading professional publications related to Magnolia Creek.
