Job summary

Nichiha USA, Inc. in Macon, GA is seeking a Raw Materials Operator for the D shift (7 PM – 7:30 AM).

You will support the production line by preparing wood chips, loading materials with a wheel loader, and operating plane machinery to produce wood flakes, while following SOPs and maintaining records. This role emphasizes safety and equipment maintenance, including PPE use, lockout procedures, and prompt reporting of malfunctions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Wheel Loader Certification preferred.
• Experience operating hoist crane preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive raw material (wood chip) delivered to the facility.
• Load and unload wood chip with wheel loader.
• Grind wood chip using plane machinery to produce wood flakes.
• Adjust and sharpen plane blades as required.
• Load the mixing platform with wood flakes for the production line.
• Prepare and perform maintenance of molding plate.
• Ensure molding plate is free of dust before use.
• Move plates with forklift and/or hoist crane.
• Grind defective plates for reuse as raw material.
• Prepare and maintain records of raw material received, weights, plane blades usage, defected plates, and related info.
• Report machinery damage or malfunction to Supervisor.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
