Job summary

Siemens Healthineers seeks a Pharmaceutical Lab Technician in Birmingham, AL to support synthesis, QC, packaging, logistics, and regulatory compliance of radiopharmaceuticals for PET imaging. The role includes maintaining cleanroom conditions and coordinating courier logistics.

The position requires a high school diploma, willingness to work the night shift (11 PM–7 AM, Sun–Thu), and adaptability for shift changes. Prior lab experience and GDP knowledge are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Specialized skill training or certification may be required.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Basic computer skills (spreadsheets, word processing, email).
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate chemistry instruments (HPLC, GC, TLC) and cyclotron for routine manufacturing and QC of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Author and maintain documentation for manufacturing, QC, maintenance, investigations, deviations, and out-of-spec events.
• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of critical equipment.
• Prepare products for shipment, coordinate courier logistics, and provide customer support.
• Maintain aseptic environments (cleanroom) to create sterile consumables and prevent contamination.
• Conduct environmental monitoring on a regular basis and ensure regulatory compliance.
