Qualifications

• Completion of clinical training and ARRT requirements.
• New Jersey State License required.
• Eligibility for the National Registry and examination.

Responsibilities

• Produce diagnostic radiographic exams by proper positioning and factors.
• Restrict radiation exposure to unaffected areas via beam limits.
• Perform portable x-ray exams in varied settings.
• Identify films with patient details and mark sides.
• Develop exposed films using standard processing.
• Complete requisitions with technologist initials and film size.
• Maintain an organized x-ray room per leadership.
• Prepare and assist with radiopaque contrast media.
• Handle scheduling, patient instructions, record-keeping, and reception.
• Assist patients with mobility and positioning.
• Communicate effectively with patients considering age/culture.
