Job summary

Capital Materials is seeking a Night Shift Equipment Operator for the Sedalia, MO Quarry. The role offers pay between $18 and $28 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include operating heavy equipment, performing routine maintenance, and coordinating with the foreman on daily tasks. Applicants must have experience with heavy machinery, be able to lift up to 50 lbs, and pass pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment.
• Must be punctual, have a strong work ethic, and maintain a good attendance record.
• Must be able to work as a team on all projects.
• Lift/move up to 50 lbs.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Stand for extended periods of time.
• Reliable transportation.
• Willing to travel/work out of town.
• Must pass a pre-employment physical, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment safely and efficiently under varying conditions.
• Skillfully operate scrapers, graders, loaders, bulldozers, and other heavy machinery.
• Perform routine maintenance and keep equipment clean and operable.
• Communicate with foreman and coworkers about daily job specifications.
• Use power-driven machinery like jack hammers and tampers.
• Be flexible to take on other duties as assigned by management.
• Work with hand tools and in various positions throughout the day.
• Perform general labor when necessary.
