Job summary

Mer iCal is seeking a Quality Inspector I for the Ogden, UT area to ensure dietary supplement products meet MeriCal specifications and cGMPs. The role includes sampling, testing, and disposition decisions to maintain high-quality output across receiving, in-process manufacturing, and finished product release.

The position requires familiarity with GMPs, adequate English communication, and the ability to work 10pm-6:30am Sunday-Thursday in a regular full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA) preferred.
• Must be able to lift a maximum of 25-30 lbs. of material when needed.
• Must be computer literate and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and other software necessary to work in the Quality Inspection Department.

Responsibilities

• Familiar with Good Manufacturing Practices [21 CFR Part 111, 117 & 211].
• Conduct sampling and ensure testing against appropriate methods.
• Maintain records of testing and document quantity of defective product per batch.
• Collect samples for Analytical, Microbial, Customer and Retains as applicable and document within the appropriate quality record.
• Enter quality data or release in ERP system under guidance of Quality Inspector II or above.
• Perform in-process testing under guidance and verify IDs and organization of bulk and finished goods.
