Job summary

Ocean Spray in Middleboro, MA is seeking a Quality Technician to work with the night shift on the operations team. You will ensure that all food quality standards are met with no exceptions, performing testing, analysis and review to support production quality and schedules.

You'll train manufacturing personnel in quality systems, calibrate and maintain lab equipment, perform QA verification and micro testing as required, and assist with product holds and investigations to protect food safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Food Science or related field preferred.
• 1-3 years production/manufacturing experience or 2+ years lab technician experience.
• Food/beverage industry experience a plus.
• Strong math, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient computer, word processing, and email skills.
• Detail oriented with ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
• Ability to recognize trends, risks to product quality, and communicate findings.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality testing and analysis to ensure production quality and schedules.
• Train and support manufacturing personnel in quality systems.
• Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain lab equipment.
• Perform Positive Release and micro testing as needed.
• Support food safety and quality practices across the plant.
• Investigate and assist with FM investigations and product holds.
