Job summary

Perdue Farms is seeking a Food Safety & Quality Assurance Technician to monitor production processes and verify compliance with company, regulatory, and GFSI standards. You will help maintain a safe, high‑quality environment throughout plant operations and support continuous improvement in food safety and customer trust.

The role involves night shift work (Sunday–Thursday, 12:00am–9:00am) with responsibilities spanning product reviews, policy enforcement, and collaboration with Operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 6 months of consecutive work history with one employer in the past 3 years in a comparable field.
• Experience in food quality and/or safety preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct product reviews for compliance, including grading, packaging and weights.
• Monitor and enforce quality and food safety policies.
• Perform product reviews with Operations Group.
• Follow GMP and Sanitation SOPs and implement corrective actions if deviations occur.
• Evaluate potential for foreign material contamination in assigned areas.
• Perform other tasks as directed by management to meet department needs.
