Job summary

Seaman Corporation is seeking a Quality Control Lab Technician to join the Operations team in Wooster, OH. The role supports the QC Lab on a night shift, reporting to the QC Supervisor. The position operates in a 24/7 rotation with a 4:3 schedule, and day/ night shifts run 7a-7p and 7p-7a.

The ideal candidate will perform material testing at various production stages, maintain documentation, and use Oracle, Lab Tracker, and testing equipment to ensure products meet customer specs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• Typically 1 year related experience or training.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 10 pounds and occasional 30 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision and color vision.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor QC Lab during shift to ensure product meets specs.
• Record data and generate reports; assist QC Supervisor as needed.
• Operate lab equipment (tensiometer, thickness gauge, colorimeter, etc.).
• Notify supervision of test results and equipment issues promptly.
• Maintain QC documentation and coordinate daily product testing.
