Job summary

UFP Industries in Alabama is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform measurement and visual inspection of materials to meet internal and external quality requirements. You will use prints, checklists, and various measuring devices to verify tolerances.

Under supervision, you will record data, identify acceptable tolerances, and escalate nonconformances. The role includes preparing reports and supporting continuous quality improvements across production.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma/GED.
• 1-2 years of management or quality assurance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Records measurements and other critical data in an appropriate manner.
• Identifies acceptable tolerances according to prints and documents and ensures operations stay within those tolerances.
• Stops production and notifies proper personnel upon nonconformances.
• Assists in investigation of quality issues and ensures corrective measures are implemented.
• Prepares various reports and correspondence as required.
• Performs other duties as required.
