Job summary

UFP Industries is seeking a Quality Control Inspector to perform measurement and visual inspection of materials to ensure quality requirements are met across receiving, production cutting, assembly, packaging, storage, and shipping.

The role uses prints, checklists, and various measuring devices, follows established guidelines, and works under supervision to identify nonconformances and support corrective actions. Proficiency with MS Office is required along with a related degree or experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in business management or quality management or related discipline.
• 1-2 years of management or quality assurance experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Record measurements and other critical data.
• Identify acceptable tolerances according to prints and documents; ensure operations stay within tolerances.
• Stop production and notify proper personnel upon discovery of nonconformances.
• Assist in investigation of quality issues and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
• Prepare various reports and correspondence as required.
• Perform other duties as required.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in business management or quality management or related discipline or equivalent experience

1-2 years of management or quality assurance experience

Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook
