Job summary

Aerotek in Elgin, IL seeks a QC Inspector to ensure the quality of small plastic parts (1–4 inches), including insert molding. You will sample parts from machines, inspect them in the lab, and verify conformance to blueprints and customer specifications.

This contract-to-hire role is fully onsite and runs on the 3rd shift (11:45 PM–8:15 AM) with initial training on the 1st shift. You will use calipers, micrometers, and optical comparators, and you will enter quality data into software with

Qualifications

• Experience in quality control for plastic parts.
• Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and drop indicators.
• Able to read blueprints and perform basic math.
• Proficient in data entry and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Take sample parts from machines to the quality lab for inspection.
• Measure parts with calipers, micrometers, and drop indicators.
• Enter quality data into software accurately.
• Use equipment both on the floor and in the lab to ensure quality control.
• Communicate discrepancies proactively.
