Rockline Industries in Morristown, AZ is seeking a Chemist II to ensure compliance with ISO, USP, CFR and cGMP requirements in the laboratory. The role emphasizes microbiology testing, chemical analysis, environmental monitoring, and accurate digital record keeping while contributing to product quality and safety.

The position operates on a rotating third shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM) with a 2-2-3 schedule, offering a strong work-life balance, safety training, and opportunities for professional

Qualifications

• BS degree in Chemistry or Biology or Physics
• 3-5 years experience in a QC Lab (FDA or Pharma environment preferred)
• Qualitative and quantitative chemical analysis skills; strong math
• Strong computer skills and network systems knowledge
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-stress environment with reliable testing results
• Experience investigating OOS results (FDA guidance knowledge preferred)
• Demonstrated instrumentation troubleshooting skills
• Advanced problem-solving with self-driven, innovative approaches
• ACS short courses or certificates preferred

Responsibilities

• Microbiological testing and sample prep per USP chapters
• Aseptic technique in liquids and swabbing
• Gram staining and API ID
• Environmental monitoring in plant and personnel
• Maintain microbiological notebooks and digital records
• CPM of plant systems and lab controls
• GC maintenance and operation
• HPLC/uHPLC maintenance and operation
• Titration and solution prep
• TOC maintenance and operation
• FTIR maintenance and operation
• UV/Vis maintenance and operation
• pH, density, and conductivity checks
• Maintenance of high-pressure gas bottles and generators
• Commitment to RRITE values and safety responsibilities
• Collaborate to perform other job-related tasks as needed
