Job summary

Procon Consulting is a leading construction management and technology firm seeking a night shift Quality Assurance Inspector for federal projects. You will perform inspections to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and codes while documenting findings with detailed reports and photos.

You will monitor construction processes, support project coordination, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project success. Experience with elevator systems and security upgrades is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction QA/QC on government facilities.
• Experience with traction/hydraulic elevator systems.
• Experience inspecting security upgrades (CCTV, card readers, access control).
• Familiarity with security infrastructure integration.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs, submittals.
• Strong written and verbal communication for detailed reports.
• Renovation project experience in occupied facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily jobsite inspections to ensure work complies with contract drawings, specs, safety standards, and quality requirements.
• Maintain project tracking logs including RFIs, redlines, deficiencies, and testing/inspection records.
• Verify materials delivered and installed match approved submittals and are stored properly.
• Document work progress, workforce activity, delays, and site conditions in daily QA reports with photos.
• Identify and document deficiencies or non-conforming work and coordinate corrective actions with the contractor.
• Observe and coordinate third-party testing and inspections and track results.
• Review contractor daily reports, submittals, and documentation for accuracy and compliance.
• Participate in project meetings and quality control inspections (preparatory, initial, final).
• Monitor project progress against the schedule and report issues to leadership.
• Support pay applications, change orders, and punch list inspections.
• Verify contractor compliance with QC plans, safety requirements, and specs.
