Job summary

Marvin Composites, a fiberglass component producer, seeks a Night Shift Beginning Pultrusion Operator in Salem, VA to support pultrusion and extrusion processes within our Quality Management System. You will perform quality checks, set up and run equipment, and help train team members while maintaining a safe, clean work environment.

Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, safety-focused, and eager to learn and improve processes in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Follow detailed processes and uphold quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
• Able to troubleshoot equipment or production issues.
• Comfort working on a 12-hour shift and performing hands-on, physical work.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality checks throughout the pultrusion and extrusion process to ensure products meet specifications.
• Set up, operate, and shut down equipment while maintaining tooling care and fiber loading techniques.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues, documenting key process variables to support consistency and quality.
• Disassemble, clean, and reassemble pultrusion dies to support efficient operations.
• Provide on-the-job training to colleagues and assist as a Pultrusion Inspector when needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including managing hazardous waste streams.
