Job summary

Divert Inc. seeks a Production Supervisor for its Longview, WA facility to lead daily operations and maintenance, building a respectful culture and ensuring safety.

You will hire, train, schedule, and guide Operators and maintenance staff while coordinating with maintenance, engineering, and logistics to hit production targets. The role requires hands-on leadership, strong problem-solving, and the ability to manage shift work (nights 6 pm–6:30 am).

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an operations management role with hiring and people management.
• Proven track record of leading production/processing systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage, hire and train Operators and Maintenance personnel; provide guidance and performance feedback.
• Oversee shift-to-shift operations of the plant, including production scheduling, workflow coordination, and resource allocation.
• Monitor production processes to identify areas for improvement and implement efficiency-enhancing measures.
• Operate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular inspections and routine maintenance to assess equipment condition, facility cleanliness, and ensure optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate maintenance activities to minimize downtime.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure working environment for all employees.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as maintenance, engineering, and logistics, to optimize plant performance and meet production targets.
• Maintain accurate production records and documentation.
• Maintain inventory levels and coordinate material procurement to support production.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies at all times.
• Prepare reports on plant performance, including production metrics, quality control data, and safety incidents.
