Job summary

Petit Pot in Emeryville, CA, is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor for night shift in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will supervise the production line, ensure safety, quality, and efficiency, and coach hourly operators while meeting schedule and yield targets.

This full-time, hourly, non-exempt role offers overtime opportunities and benefits, requires weekend availability, and a hands-on leadership style to drive continuous improvement on the line.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a supervisor, lead, or manager on a production line is required.
• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role in manufacturing preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and develop hourly employees.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during the shift.
• Experience with automated production equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities on the assigned shift.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining safety, quality, efficiency, and yield targets.
• Lead, train, coach, and motivate production operators.
• Assign work, support job rotation, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback.
• Support schedule management, timecard review, PTO coordination, and break compliance.
• Monitor production processes to ensure compliance with food safety, GMP, and quality standards.
• Identify and address quality issues, production deviations, and operational concerns.
• Ensure production paperwork, records, and documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Promote a safe working environment and immediately address safety concerns.
• Partner with Operations, Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure production needs are met.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and support continuous improvement.
• Promote teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
