Job summary

Oldcastle, a CRH company, seeks a supervisor to oversee shift operations in a manufacturing environment. You will guide a team, ensure production goals are met, and monitor machinery performance for quality standards.

You should have prior team leadership in manufacturing and preferably bilingual Spanish skills, with the ability to train staff on forklift, bobcat, and loader operations. Safety compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience leading teams in a manufacturing setting.
• Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred.
• Experience training team members on equipment and processes.

Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations.
• Visually inspect and test machinery; operate equipment.
• Supervise department to meet quality and production standards.
• Detect machine issues and coordinate with maintenance for repairs.
• Operate forklift safely and in compliance with policies.
• Inspect work in progress and finished products.
• Oversee daily preventive maintenance programs.
• Track and report inventory usage and production day reports.
• Handle other duties as needed.

Job Summary

Job Responsibilities

• Set production goals and expectations
• Visually inspects and tests machinery and equipment. Set up and operate machinery
• Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality and production standards
• Listen for unusual sounds from machines or equipment to detect malfunction and discuss machine operation variations with maintenance workers to diagnose problem or repair machine
• Operates forklift as directed and without supervision while adhering to all rules and regulations mandated by safety policies and procedures
• Inspects work in progress and finished product
• Oversee the daily preventive maintenance program
• Track/report inventory and parts usage
• Analyze scorecards and day shift production reports
• Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Job Requirements

• Previously team lead experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bi-Lingual Spanish preferred
• Experience providing on the job training to team members to include but not limited to the operation of forklift, bobcat, loader, and development of production machine troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
