Job summary

GEON Performance Solutions is hiring a Production Operator for the Croydon, PA facility. Starting pay is $21.55 per hour with a $1,500 new hire bonus, and benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, spending accounts, and a 401(k).

The role involves setting up and operating equipment to blend/mix/extrude/package products, under the direction of the Shift Leader and Production Supervisor.

Qualifications

• Must have mathematical skills for weights, measures and operations.
• Must effectively communicate in writing and verbally in English.
• Basic computer skills including email, internet and MS Office.
• Must have manual dexterity for hand tools.
• Must have problem-solving skills and some mechanical aptitude.
• Must be flexible to work overtime as required.
• Forklift skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and start all machines, checking controls for adherence to procedures.
• Weigh ingredients to meet recipe specs and input into machinery.
• Monitor production and equipment for safe and efficient operation; troubleshoot issues.
• Operate machinery to mix, discharge or handle materials per procedures.
• Inspect materials to ensure conformance with standards and specs.
• Take samples to lab for evaluations.
• Refer issues to lead/supervisor for disposition.
• Perform machine cleaning and maintenance as required.
• Enter data accurately into computer systems and maintain data integrity.
• Document logs and reports of production activity.
• Participate in training and continuous improvement processes.
• Follow HS&E, ISO and other regulations.
