Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Production Coordinator for the night shift to act as a liaison ensuring smooth flow of components and assemblies through production. The role requires coordinating with planning, engineers, and technicians to meet tight deadlines and uphold quality standards.

Responsibilities include managing work orders, materials, and data integrity, while supporting scheduling, shortages, and process improvements on a night shift at the Vandenberg site.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required.
• 1+ years of supply chain or manufacturing experience.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems.
• Experience in aerospace or electronic manufacturing environments.
• APICS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create inventory requests based on production work orders and replacement parts.
• Maintain production schedules through coordinating planning and shortage management.
• Ensure parts are handled and protected per SpaceX specifications.
• Interface with engineers and technicians on work orders release for build.
• Reconcile work order bill of material quantities.
• Maintain high integrity of company computer systems per procedures.
• Assist with resolution of incorrect system data affecting demand or schedules.
• Verify material receipts against paperwork for damage and correct part numbers.
• Communicate part status and ETA to leadership as needed.
• Support productivity improvement and logistics through innovative staging.
