Job summary

U.S. Silica is seeking a Process Operator to manage several production units, monitor control systems, and troubleshoot basic process issues under limited supervision.

The role requires following established procedures, maintaining a safe, clean work environment, and performing TPM tasks as directed. The ideal candidate will be safety-focused, able to multitask in a fast-paced setting, and comfortable working outdoors across all seasons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions throughout all seasons.
• Ability to climb multiple levels using stairs and ladders and work from elevated platforms.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, including shovels, hammers, wrenches, and similar equipment.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• The Process Operator operates multiple production units, monitor control systems, and troubleshoots basic process issues with limited supervision.
• Maintain a good understanding of plant operations and follow established operating procedures.
• Inspect the immediate work area prior to beginning operations to identify potential safety or operational concerns.
• Operate plant control boards and equipment, including screens, conveyor belts, pumps, hydrosizers, dryers, elevators, and other related equipment.
• Operate heavy mobile equipment in accordance with established procedures and safety requirements.
• Perform rail loading functions in accordance with established procedures.
• Safely shut down equipment according to established procedures.
• Perform general cleanup and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks as required by management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned
