Job summary

Polytainers, Inc. in Lee's Summit, MO is seeking a Machine Operator for the C shift (7pm–7am) to operate a dry offset printing press and pack/unpack rigid plastic containers and lids. This role reports to the Printing Shift Supervisor and requires attention to quality, safety, and teamwork.

Minimum six months of printing or manufacturing experience is required; dry offset printing experience is essential. Fluency in English with strong communication skills is expected.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English with good written and verbal communication skills.
• High School or equivalent required.
• Minimum six months work experience in a printing or manufacturing environment; Dry Offset printing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Start, stop, run, and tear down Dry Offset Printing Presses.
• Perform job kit verification, line clearance, replacing plates and washing and preparing color heads.
• Run all lid and base presses, including six and eight color presses.
• Pack/unpack boxes of finished products according to customer requirements.
• Remove and handle trending tray product samples.
• Apply labels to boxes and stamp every box without pre-labeling.
• Cover other Machine Operators during their lunch and breaks.
• Monitor product quality, visually inspecting products at the packing station and maintaining the trending tray.
• Update daily machine scheduling and attainment board (white board) with job information.
• Adhere to company policies and safety rules; maintain 5S, HACCP compliance.
