Job summary

Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging, is seeking a qualified candidate to join our VR2 facility in Villa Rica, Georgia as a Press Assistant. The position pays $18.77–$28.15 per hour depending on experience, with a $2.50 per hour night shift premium included in overtime and double-time hours.

Schedule is 12-hour nights from 8:00pm to 8:00am on a 3/2 cycle, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Long term objective to fulfill operator position.

Responsibilities

• Prepare raw material rolls for printing.
• Place rolls in machine and prepare for splicing.
• Assist in removing rolls from rewind.
• Remove and weigh startup rolls at beginning of job.
• Fill and maintain viscosity of all inks.
• Change Doctor Blades and over fill pans.
• Remove and weigh waste from unwind and rewind of machine.
• Empty refuse containers.
• Make waste bales when baler is full.
• Assist operator in any way for efficient operation and monitoring quality of product.
• Prepare Pre-Set up of sleeves, mandrels, anilox, and inks.
• Daily housekeeping.
