Job summary

nVent is seeking a Paint Application Operator to set up and operate powder coating equipment for production materials. You will hang parts on conveyors, manage powder delivery, and inspect finished surfaces for coverage and quality.

The role requires HS diploma or GED and powder coat experience in a manufacturing environment. Expect safety-focused work, daily material handling, and active participation in lean improvements.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Powder coat painting experience is required.
  • Knowledge of powder coat painting in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing business environment.
  • Safety equipment and tools are used in daily tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Operate paint application equipment to apply powder coating to components.
  • Hang and unload materials on conveyor system for painting.
  • Clean, refill, and monitor powder feeding units and equipment.
  • Review specifications and select correct color, apply powder with gun.
  • Inspect finished parts for coverage and quality; touch up as needed.
  • Stack and tag finished parts; deliver to next production stage.
  • Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized area.
  • Support lean initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
