Job summary

Georgia-Pacific is hiring for a PRODUCTION OPERATOR – LAYUP NIGHT SHIFT at the Camden Plywood facility in Camden, Texas. Responsibilities include handling plywood panels, assembling veneer cores, and operating production equipment with safety focus.

Ideal candidates have 6 months in manufacturing and forklift experience. Shift is 7PM–7AM on a 2-week 36/48 hr rotation with overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or construction environment.
• 2+ years of experience in similar settings.
• Forklift driving experience.
• Experience with wood products.

Responsibilities

• Pull and lift plywood, panels, or scraps up to 25 pounds.
• Assemble veneer cores by layering sheets per patterns.
• Assist in clean up, operation, and maintenance of production equipment including forklift operation.
• Adhere to plant safety and environmental guidelines and procedures.
• Read and comprehend written instructions to complete tasks.
• Work with supervisors and teammates to meet safety, production and quality goals.
• Cross train on various machines to increase operational knowledge.
• Work hours include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed.
