Job summary

Smart Sand Oakdale is seeking experienced Plant Operators to join our Production team. The role involves operating processing equipment and directing a grounds crew, with emphasis on safety and quality standards.

You will monitor flows, adjust controls, and train QA processes in a fast-paced environment. We offer a comprehensive benefits package and an hourly pay range of $25.00–$30.00 with a $1 night shift differential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• MSHA training and experience required.
• Knowledge to operate basic heavy equipment.
• Prior experience as a Plant Operator in both Wet and Dry plants.
• Leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct grounds crew to service hoses, pumps, filters, or screens and maintain equipment.
• Monitor material flow and instrument readings to ensure optimal processing.
• Set up or adjust machine controls to regulate conditions.
• Train QA program and test processes per QMS.
• Inspect samples to verify quality and detect issues.
• Operate basic heavy equipment and assist with vehicles as needed.
• Maintain logs and enter production data into computer systems.
• Coordinate tasks using handheld radios to optimize workflow.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Coordinate with loader operators to manage sand feed.
