Job summary

P&K Stone, Llc is seeking a Welder/Fabricator/Plant Maintenance professional to perform preventative maintenance and repair of processing equipment at an aggregate plant. Responsibilities include upkeep of conveyors, pumps, shakers, and crushers, with emphasis on safety and reliability.

The role requires strong mechanical knowledge, ability to read/write, and experience in oxy/acetylene, stick welding, and MIG welding. On-site duties include heavy lifting, overtime, and weekend work as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 to 3 years’ experience related to heavy duty maintenance job or equivalent combination of training and experience, preferably in aggregates industry.

Responsibilities

• Take an active role in plant safety initiatives.
• Ensure a safe work environment for self and others at all times.
• Maximize performance of stationary equipment by repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Prioritize backlog tasks with Supervisor/Plant Manager and complete them.
• Complete required paperwork to maintain equipment and run the plant per P&K Stone standards.
• Inspect and maintain maintenance truck and ensure good housekeeping.
• Prioritize SAFETY, then QUALITY, then Production.
• Conduct MSHA pre-shift safety inspections.
• Check, repair or replace pumps as needed.
• Ensure preventive maintenance services and lubrication are completed.
