Job summary

Pattison Company is seeking a Plant Lab Technician for the Night Shift at our Clayton, Iowa processing plant. You will analyze hourly production samples, document results, and support Loadout and Plant Operators to ensure product quality.

Requires high school diploma (2-year technical degree preferred) and ability to work 12-hour nights, with safety training and MSHA compliance. Competitive wage and comprehensive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• Pre-employment DOT test, physical, and drug screening required.
• English communication skills required.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 25 lbs.
• Willingness to work night shift and 12-hour schedule.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze hourly production samples for quality.
• Perform lab testing on plant feed and finished products.
• Collect and document samples from trucks, railcars, or barges.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments.
• Maintain a database for sample processing results and trends.
• Train staff in basic QC procedures and safety practices.
