Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Verifies positive patient identification and ensures safety.
• Performs venipuncture and collects specimens from multiple age groups.
• Label specimens correctly and resolve identification issues.
• Perform limited testing under CLIA guidelines.
• Answer calls, assist with inventory and billing support.
• Process and track specimens for testing and transport.
• Order and verify test requests; document quality data.
• Enter laboratory results into the computer system.
• Instruct employees and students in phlebotomy and processing.
• Provide age-appropriate care and adapt to patient needs.
