Job summary

CommuniCare Family of Companies in Glen Burnie, MD is seeking a Pharmacy Order Entry Technician to join our team. Under supervision, you will input orders, maintain resident information, and support the Staff Pharmacist to dispense medications accurately and safely.

The ideal candidate is Maryland-registered or certified, with strong attention to detail, solid communication, and prior experience in pharmacy or related fields. This is a full-time role with benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• MUST BE a Registered or Certified Pharmacy Technician in Maryland.
• High School or Equivalent.
• LTC pharmacy experience a plus.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and input new/readmitted residents information required to dispense medications safely.
• Maintain resident information in pharmacy computer system.
• Use proper phone etiquette to provide facility/resident services.
• Triage patient calls to appropriate party.
• Answer phones and respond to orders inquiries.
• Enter new and refill orders into pharmacy computer system for Staff Pharmacist review.
• Maintain customers' information in the system and update as needed.
• Place outbound calls to facilities to clarify orders.
• Triage incoming faxes promptly and accurately.
• Coordinate with billing operations specialists.
