Job summary

Diocese of Allentown in Bethlehem seeks a Personal Care Aide (PCA) for Holy Family Villa. Part-time night shift (11 PM – 7 AM), 16 hours weekly, every other weekend and holiday. Reports to Nursing Supervisor.

Duties include ADL assistance, vital signs, and meal support in a Catholic eldercare setting. Qualifications include high school diploma or PA Nurse Aide Registry, 18+ years, CPR/First Aid and Medication Administration certification within 6 months, and a sincere desire to care for the

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or active registry status on PA Nurse Aide Registry.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certification must be obtained within 6 months of start date.
• Diabetes Education/Insulin Injection and Medication Administration certification required within 6 months.
• Sincere desire to work with the elderly.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, oral care, repositioning, shaving, nail and hair care, toileting).
• Obtain vital signs each shift on designated residents.
• Report abnormalities to Nursing Supervisor/Director of Priest Services.
• Help prepare and serve meals, monitor intake.
• Transport residents to appointments and participate in daily charting.
