Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking an Emergency Room RN for the McLane Children’s Hospital in Temple, TX. This full-time night shift (36 hours/week) involves pediatric emergency care, rapid assessment, and coordinated teamwork in a Level II pediatric trauma setting.

Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, and family education, with opportunities to pursue TNCC/ENPC certifications. The unit emphasizes safety, compassion, and high-quality pediatric care.

Qualifications

• RN license required (TX)
• BLS certification required or within 30 days of starting
• TNCC/ENPC during first year is encouraged

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed patient assessments and develop care plans in the Pediatric ER.
• Prioritize patient and family needs and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Document clinical information accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with physicians and ED staff to manage high-acuity cases.
• Maintain patient safety and adhere to nursing standards and policies.
