Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is hiring a Patient Care Technician for the full-time night shift. The PCT provides patient care, supports daily living activities, and assists with vital signs, mobility, and basic procedures under the RN.

You will perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, EKGs, IV removal, specimen collection, and Foley catheter management while documenting changes and ensuring patient safety.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required with one of the listed credentials.
• Certifications such as CNA/NCMA/NCPCT or EMT/Paramedic are preferred.
• Recent PCT or Nursing Assistant experience is acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care and assist with activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Observe and document patient conditions, including vital signs and mobility.
• Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing and EKG testing as needed.
• Assist with Foley catheter insertion/removal and specimen collection.
• Maintain patient safety and report changes promptly to nursing staff.

National Patient Care Technician (NCPCT)

US Navy Hospital Corps School

EMT/EMS/Paramedic

Clinical program RN/LPN/RT/PT

PCT/Nursing Assistant experience (last 3 years)

Basic Life Support Certification
