LCMC Health seeks a Certified Patient Care Tech to join our hospital team in New Orleans. Under RN supervision, you’ll provide delegated patient care, maintain safety, and document tasks with empathy and accuracy.

Responsibilities include CPR/ADLs, vital signs, phlebotomy, and assisting with mobility, positioning and EKGs while coordinating with the care team to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Must hold one or more approved medical certifications listed above.
• BLS/CPR certification required for patient care duties.
• Ability to work nights in a hospital environment and collaborate with RN staff.

Responsabilités

• Perform delegated patient care under RN direction in a safe, efficient manner.
• Complete documentation of patient related tasks and maintain safety protocols.
• Provide basic care tasks including Lifting, ambulating, vital signs, phlebotomy and dressing changes.
• Support interdisciplinary team, report abnormal findings, and ensure continuity of care.
• Prioritize tasks based on acuity, request help when needed, and maintain respectful patient interactions.

Certified Patient Care Technician (CPCT/A) - National Health Careers Association
