Job summary

Hartford HealthCare's Hartford Hospital is seeking a Transporter responsible for safe, timely transport of patients and equipment, enabling physicians, nurses and therapists to perform their duties efficiently. Hartford Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center with advanced robotic surgery and simulation facilities.

Location: 80 Seymour Street, Hartford, CT. Shift: 11pm–7:30am, Monday through Friday, every other weekend and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and speak English.
• Preferred: 3+ months related experience in transport or healthcare setting.
• Additional languages a plus.

Responsibilities

• Responds to transport requests with a sense of urgency.
• Ensures oxygen tanks are not empty/tank has enough oxygen for entire transport.
• Ensures the comfort of the patient throughout entire request by being attentive; offers blankets, checks modesty, and only engages in appropriate conversation involving the patient.
