Job summary

Prisma Health's Richland Hospital is seeking a nursing assistant/Patient Care Tech to support the Registered Nurse in meeting basic patient needs during a night shift. You will assist with hygiene, feeding, ambulation, elimination, and monitor vital signs under RN supervision.

The role requires completion of an approved nursing assistant or related program; hospital experience is preferred. Training will be provided as needed and the setting is a clinical unit within Prisma Health.

Qualifications

• Education: Completion of a Nursing Assistant, Patient Care Tech, Medical Assistant or Nursing Fundamentals course.
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year hospital clerical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene and daily living activities.
• Assist with nutrition, feeding, and meal setup.
• Assist with ambulation and fall prevention under RN direction.
• Monitor inputs/outputs and assist with elimination.
• Record vital signs and report abnormalities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
