Qualifications

• Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to meet the demands of an active position.
• Ability to perform routine patient care activity after orientation.
• Ability to recognize escalation of behaviors related to mental health diagnosis.
• Ability to demonstrate basic deescalation techniques after training.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients under the direct supervision of licensed personnel.
• Provides personal care to patients, adhering to the individualized plan of care with the RN.
• Answers call lights and attends to/reports patient needs promptly and politely.
• Demonstrates the skills to provide non-direct patient care/support services to staff under licensed supervision.
• Optimizes time efficiently and serves as a resource for others while using hospital resources appropriately.
• Records applicable patient charges promptly to ensure accurate billing of services and supplies.
