Job summary

Trinity Health Ann Arbor is seeking a Patient Safety Attendant to join the Nursing Resource Pool/Float Pool for night shifts. You will directly observe high-risk patients and perform basic care tasks under the guidance of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma and CPR or BLS Certification.
• Experience: Able to maintain professionalism and self-control in difficult or stressful conditions.

Responsibilities

• Setting up food tray and assisting with eating.
• Assisting patient with basic hygiene (bathing, brushing teeth).
• Offering fluids to patients.
• Accompanying patient on walks.
• Assisting patient to bathroom or chair.
• Providing diversionary activities.
• Replacing nasal cannula.
• Re-applying intermittent compression devices (ICDs or SCDs).
• Observing assigned patient at all times and coordinating breaks with the nurse.
